All of the wonders this plant provides for our society are amazing to me. It’s as if it was put here for the sustainability and progression of humanity, and what’s stranger is the fact that humanity basically ignores it and its potential.

Is this where listening to big brother and staying within our social perimeters, which we didn’t dictate in the first place, has gotten us? Are we really letting our planet fall prey to manipulative corporations that care only about profit and not about the environmental destruction they’re causing?

Have we really let ourselves outlaw a plant with this many benefits because of a psychoactive herb that’s related to it? In my opinion, this among many other things displays the purely backward manner in which our society seems to operate.

I for one would love to see a biofuel developed from hemp at my nearest gas station, but as Hemp-Guide explains, there’s still some work to be done before the technology can reach that stage.

“(…) biofuels do have some drawbacks at the moment. The first one is energy density. Petroleum is an incredible energy dense liquid that remains liquid at useful ranges. Alcohol carries much less energy per gallon than gasoline does; in general, a gallon of alcohol will take you 55% as far as a gallon of regular gas.

In my opinion, a big aspect of healing the planet is addressing the pollution our collective has allowed to run rampant with little thought or concern about it.

Our planet is being polluted every day in so many different ways, and while I can’t offer a concrete solution to solve the biggest pollution problems facing us, I can point out some of the things we can do in the Now to start creating a sustainable future.

It’s becoming increasingly clear that our current ways of sustaining ourselves hurt our planet, and as it turns out, we can embrace something that was once widely used and that provides stunning benefits for our society, but that’s been demonized and cast from most people’s perceptions.
