Bob Fickes ~ Time to Change our Life and Change our World

One of the signs of rising global consciousness is that we see more what is happening all over the world. Sometimes it is very disturbing as we witness events that we had no knowledge of before. When there is very little light, the room looks ok. But when we turn on the bright lights, we notice that it is very dirty. The light helps us to see areas in our life that need improving. This is a sign that our life is getting better! But our reaction is that, oh my god, life is getting worse! What is happening in the world! Well. The answer is that the world is the same as it has always been but where before we didn’t see it directly and could ignore it, now we know we must do something about it.

In the Bible it says that at the end of time the good will get better and the bad will get worse. This is not really the way it works. The truth is that as the light gets brighter we see more that we need to improve. We cannot ignore the karma that is showing up in our life. As we increase our level of consciousness, we must simultaneously increase our responsibility for making changes.

I have heard some people say that after they started to meditate, their life got worse. I tell them no it hasn’t got worse, now you are seeing what you ignored or put off before. As we meditate and move towards our enlightenment, we will see every area of our life with new eyes. What we ignored or put off before is what we need to look at now.

Meditation and the spiritual path that we are on involves making changes to improve the quality of our life. Meditation develops our consciousness to do more and change our life for the better. We can’t just sit back and think that the universe or God will make those changes for us just because we are meditating and now deserve a better life. Nothing happens unless we make it happen. When the light gets brighter, we can no longer run away or ignore what the universe reveals to us. We see the problem too clearly to ignore it.

There is a Cosmic Rule that the universe can never give us more than we can handle. It might be more than we have ever been able to do in the past. Our mind might think I can’t do this, but if it comes to us, we are ready and have the ability to do it. At this point it is important to step aside and just relax. Take a deep breath and calmly face the challenge that is in front of us. From a calm center our heart will know what to do as our first step. We don’t need to think that we have to fix this problem in one step. After all, it has been building up for a long time. We don’t need to fix it so fast. Give your self time to change your reality. Take one step at a time and simply do your best. You don’t know what new skills you have until you try to take that first step. Most of all trust your self and believe that before you were not ready, but now you are. Meditation has given you more skills than you know you have. You won’t know what those skills are until you take that first step.

One more thing that is essential for you to remember. When you face the challenge and feel tired, be sure to take time to meditate. It is too easy to think that you are too busy to meditate, but your meditation is what brought you to this point. It will give you the inner strength and clear consciousness you need to be successful. Meditate and enjoy each day. Face each challenge as it comes to you. Take one step at a time and then relax into meditation. Meditate and take another step. This is the fastest and most comfortable way to accomplish your goal and change your life. Bless your self and encourage your self. Build up your consciousness and do your best. Most of all enjoy the time you take to meditate and not worry about results. Just relax and let go. Meditation is your preparation for improving your life. Use this tool wisely and take one step at a time. Before long you will see how much your life has gotten better. Enjoy your life and be easy on your self. You can do this! Many blessings to you!
